Since joining PBDW Architects in 2015, Rena Mande has focused interest in cultural, institutional, and educational work as she is dedicated to working with mission-based clients. She is skilled at managing complex projects and appreciates moving through all phases of design, from programming and concept to construction administration.

Rena finds tackling new project types exciting and brings critical thought to of all her work. Her experience is highlighted by a recently completed net zero energy building- Williams College Fellow’s Hall and the Hillside elementary school addition for the Hastings-on-Hudson school district.

Rena is a leader at the firm for sustainability initiatives, including project analysis and training for the 2030 challenge. She received her LEED accreditation in 2009. 

Rena received her Master’s in Architecture at The New School for Architecture and Design and holds an undergraduate degree in Psychobiology with a minor in Geology. She is an active member of the of the NY AIA Women in Architecture Committee and is a mentor for City College students through the Architectural League.
